Kindergarten Field Trip

Serenity's class along with the other two kindergarten classes got to go to the Fresno State Farm for their field trip. They have been learning all about farm animals for over a month. Thanks to my mommy I was able to go on the field trip too. It was fun seeing all the animals... dairy cows, beef, horses, and sheep. The highlight of the trip for most of the kids was riding the school bus!

Fun Times

There have been lots of exciting things happening at the Brandow home... Parker turned 1! Serenity and Landen started gymnastics and swim lessons! Serenity is doing an amazing job reading! Landen is enjoying learning to cook! Serenity is in Girl Scouts! One of my besties, Deborah is getting married in October and I'm in her wedding! On a sad note we've had our share of heart break... January - My Uncle John passed away from Cancer, February - My Great Uncle Alfred passed away, March - My Grammie passed away from Cancer (no words can express how sad this has been), and April - my cousin's 1 1/2 year old little boy passed away in his sleep (they are still trying to figure out why). I'm praying that the months to come will bring more happiness. Hopefully I will get to post some pics soon of all the fun stuff!

Disneyland

We were able to go to Disneyland in January. It was such a fun trip! It was Parker's first time and he LOVED it! His first ride was Finding Nemo, which he loved. He was pounding on the window and squealing with delight!

The Cabin

Dawna and Kris were so wonderful to invite us to their AMAZING cabin for new year's. It was soooo much fun! We just had to open the back door and the kids could go play in the snow and then jump in the hot tub when they were done. The girls had a blast playing go fish with Uncle Kris. The older kids watched all the little ones while we went out to dinner and hung out at North Star! We had a fabulous time! Thank you Dawna and Kris!!

Our Tradition

Every year since we moved to Fresno 5 years ago (wow, has it really been that long?) we go to Cobb Ranch to pick out our Christmas tree. The Ranch always has fun things for the kids. This year they had a huge blow up slide and bounce houses for the kids to play on. We also had yummy cinnamon rolls, visited with the horses, and of course picked out our tree.

Serenity celebrates 6 Scooby Style

Serenity wanted a Scooby-Doo party this year so we decided to have a Groovy Sooby Movie party. All the kids came dressed in their pajamas. We started off with some freeze dance moves to the tune of he Scooby Doo theme song. Then we ate some sandwiches, scooby snacks, and other yummies. We spread out blankets in the living room so the kids could sit on the floor. Ren opened her presents and then we had cake. My friend Karen did an amazing job decorating a scooby cake (I got the pan at Michael's)! Then we busted out the popcorn and watched a Scooby Doo movie! The goody bags were a popcorn bag with microwave popcorn, candy, and a scooby fruit snack. It was a fun day!!
