A picture off my phone

I finally downloaded all my pictures off my phone... there were some funny ones... here is one of my favorites of Landen in an empty shelf at Target.

The Fair

I have gone to the Stanislaus County Fair every year since I was a little girl so we went once again this year. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a wonderful time. We ate YUMMY food!!! The kids painted a tile, discovered dinosaurs (Landen didn't like that experience too much), they rode some rides, and won 2 goldfish!

Pioneer Day

We went to Pioneer Day at the stake building a couple of Saturdays ago. The kids ate cotton candy and popsicles! They played on the two water slides and had fun at the dunk booth. It was such a fun family time!

Old School

So, I was at my parents about a month ago cleaning out a few things and I ran across this poster. My best friend in high school and is still my bff today, Cindy, made this for me for my 16th birthday. It brought back so many fun memories. I spent my 16th birthday at Disneyland at the National Cheerleading Competition. I totally forgot we use to put "SH" on the front of words... so instead of "thanks" we would say "shanks"... I was "Sheather" and she was "Shindy". I had a boyfriend at the time so she put H.H. + DJ and then my favorite 2 favorite parts are: (1) "Uh, Oh! you know what this means: Car, License, Freedom, Older Boys!" and (2) She cut out these letters that were on a bookmark that spelled out my name in sign language... we had algebra together and we weren't supposed to talk after we were done taking tests so we would use sign language! :) Ahhh, Shindy!!! My life would be dull and not nearly as funny without you in it. You are such a blessing in my life. I love you tons!

Doug's 30th

The beginning of June I posted some pictures from Doug's 30th. Here are the little pennants I made to stick in the different foods. I then the favor was just little plastic bags from Michael's with red gift tags (I bought them in already folded in half and they fit perfect over the plastic bag. I filled the bag a few football mints and stapled the gift tag over it. Super easy and cute.

Zoo

We went to the zoo at the end of June. I LOVE taking the kids to the zoo! They can run around outside and see all the animals. Ren's favorite is the little fox. She would sit there all day if she could and just watch him. This time the fox was awake so she was really excited. Landen loves the elephants and the giraffes. We got to see the HUGE tortise. At first, I thought it was fake because it was so still, but then it started to munch on some grass. It was AMAZING! I attempted to get a pic of the kids together... Ren is smiling so cute and then we have Mr. Landen :) The pic of Ren by herself... She told me to take a picture of her looking at the monkeys.

4th of July

This year's fourth of July was probably one of the most fun and relaxing fourths in a long time. We started off at Danicia and Deidra's house where we had a yummy bbq (the chicken was sooo yummy) And I know if would have stayed there we would have had a lot of fun swimming and hanging out with the fam, but we headed to Turlock to spend time with my family. We went over Auntie Cathy's house where they have been having their annual Fourth of July party since 1976... WOW! It is always so much fun. We swam in her pool, the kids swung on the swings, and bounced in the bounce house, we played a little volleyball and horseshoes too. The food was yummy (everyone brings something) and then she has a little program, nothing formal, but we sing a few patriotic songs and remember what our soldiers have sacrificed for our freedom. Dessert was the bomb diggity... always homemade ice cream and tons of other goodies! When it started getting dark we headed over to my parents house where the kids did sparklers and Doug put on a little firework show for us. Then we were able to see 4 different huge fireworks shows from my parents yard... Stanislaus State, somewhere in Hilmar, Modesto Nuts baseball, and somewhere in Denair area. Then of course since my parents live in the country we were able to see all the illegal fireworks going off in the surrounding orchards :) The kids had a fabulous time and so did we!
