Baby Showers!

This year has been a year of many baby showers. I was able to help throw a shower for my bff Cindy in March and last weekend I helped my mom with a shower for my cousin. Here is last weekends shower decorations. I took one of the animals from her baby bedding that I found on babiesrus.com and made her invitation, centerpieces, favors, and cake to match. We got glass jars to can fruit in and used those for vases. We tied a brown and blue ribbon (from Hallmark) around the vase and then used the lion with a pop dot in the center of the ribbon. I bought 2 big mums and cut the flowers off of them for the flowers. The favors were 3 Hershey kisses in a small clear bag tied with blue or brown ribbon. I made a tag that said, "Tiffany's Shower 5.10.08 Kisses from Baby Carter", then I put a tiny lion with a pop dot on each tag.

We were blessed with another opportunity to go to Disneyland. It was a very short trip, but we were able to spend all day with Auntie Misty, Grandma Hockey, Izzy, and Chasers.

Happy Mommy Day!

I wanted to wish all the Mommies, Aunites, Grammies, Grandmas, and special ladies out there a very Happy Mother's Day! To my Mommy: You never cease to amaze me. I have never encountered a more giving and thoughtful human being. You are patient, you are kind, you are forgiving, you are loving, and you are amazing. I am so blessed to have you for a mom. To all you new mommies out there or soon to be mommies (Cindy :): You are going to be a fabulous mommy there is no doubt in my mind.

May Day at Pre-school

Serenity's class celebrated may day by making cute little hats and dancing around a may pole. She was so cute!! Poor Landen wanted to join in the fun too. He kept saying, "I want to give sissy a hug."

You always, always, always, have something to be Thankful for.

That is what I keep repeating in my head. We have had a crazy few days. After spending all last week with migraines and headaches I headed up to Manteca to see my doctor (I know I still haven't found a doctor in Fresno yet). Anyways, my parents kept Landen and then Ren had school on Tuesday so I was going to get some rest and some things done..... Ren woke up throwing-up everywhere and then I went into her room to get some books and my socks felt a little wet (thought maybe she had an accident).... then I heard water dripping. I went into the garage and there was lots of water (our water heater was leaking). Then of course the plumber said we need a new one and ours is the more expensive kind (of course!) Oh, and insurance doesn't cover wear and tear of the water heater so we had to pay for all that, but fortunately they covered the carpet drying, painting, baseboard, etc. To add one more thing to the mix, the plumber tells me after he done with EVERYTHING that they only take cash or check... it was $1700 (HELLO)! Fun times. Our house is in shambles, but hey there is always, always, always, something to be thankful for.
