Year in Review
So, I thought a good way to start off the new year is by giving myself a pat on the back for things I accomplished in 2007...
1. I wanted to read 4 books and I read 5 1/2! GO Me!!
2. I wanted to finish my Credential Classes! Check!
3. I wanted to learn how to sew. I got a sewing machine for my b-day (Thanks Mom and Dad!) and I am in the process of learning! Getting Closer!
4. I wanted to go to CKU! Had a BLAST... Thanks Misty, Lori, and Brooke. Hey Brooke, Where is your razor?
5. Family Vacation... Got to go to Disneyland with the kiddos, my parents, and brother, but Dougie had to work. :(
There were some more personal and family goals that I we had that we did pretty good on, still working on some things...always trying to improve.
All in all it was a year of small goals accomplished. This year I put 10 things I want to accomplish. I also have some more personal goals that are pretty huge, but I know our family can do it. I will share them WHEN we accomplish them!
If there was one thing I learned in 2007 it was to treasure the time you have with the ones you love the most. One of the people that I treasure the most lost one of the people she treasured the most, her daddy. My heart ached for her in ways I didn't know possible and still today I wish I could take her pain away. I can only imagine and really can't bear to imagine losing a parent. I know that one day I will have to live with that pain. To my treasured friend: Words cannot express how much you mean to me and how much it hurts me to know that you are hurting. I feel bad that I don't ask you more often how things are going or how you are coping. It is definitely not because I don't care, I'm just afraid that I will bring it up on a day that you doing pretty good. I hope and pray you know that I am always here for you. I feel like we are not as close as we were during the hard times at the beginning of 2007, but not because I don't want to be... I think life has just gotten in the way a little bit. I want you to know that you are such an awesome example of strength. You have taught me not to take the time with my Daddy and Mom for granted. You are amongst my most loved treasures... thank you and I love you sooooo much!
